Wow!!! That would be my word to describe this place!! Great from beginning to end!! I ordered the Carnitas, because I think that carnitas are what separate the men from the boys. The sauce was perfectly seasoned... The meat was small chunks of pork that had obviously been cooked to perfection... Onions were fresh and just toped off the palate with a little different sweet onion taste. The meal wasn't a huge serving, but was plenty for anyone that is hungry. Just a delightful surprise!!! But, it all started with a complementary Taco.... It was without question the most diverse taste I have had in a while. It was served on a corn tortilla... With pork, fresh sautéed onions, and the perfect amount of cilantro. Spicy at first bite, then followed by the sweet onion taste... And right on top of that was the amazing fresh cilantro.... Just a great way to wake up the taste buds!! I will for sure come back!!!

Tonight we're sitting listening to live music, and my husband busts out with "I swear this is the greatest restaurant ever. I compare all other restaurants to this one" - I don't know if I'd go quite so far myself, but I don't know what I'm holding back the fifth star for either. So, 5 star update! The food is great- better than the Rancho in Southaven. I like Diego's quesadilla with steak, hubby loves tacos al carbon, my mom recommends tacos al pastor, and the kids crave these particular chicken nuggets (even though they also like the more signature dishes). Service is amazing - always. Our glasses are always full and our chips are truly bottomless. Our kids are treated well. We always leave happy!

Normally Mexican food just tastes like the same ole Mexican food. Not a bad thing really. But I had the steak and shrimp at this place and It was awesome! I hope I get a chance to eat here again and try some of the other things on the menu. Service wasn't bad either!

This is one of our favorite restaurants! Very friendly service and great food. Love the mariachi band on Thursday nights. The margaritas really hit the spot too. We bring our family and the kids really enjoy this place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
